Ann Claire Pahlavi was born in the Middle East and is the grand-niece of the late Shah of Iran. In 1934, her grandmother, Shams Pahlavi, a noted activist for animal welfare and social justice, moved to California and raised her children and grandchildren in Los Angeles. Ann Claire attended Wycombe Abbey School in Buckinghamshire, England.

After graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Southern California, Ann Claire attended a Certificate Program in Acting at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. Success on the stage in San Francisco led her back to Los Angeles. Aside from acting in films, she also began working as a successful writer and journalist, writing features, award-winning web content and print collateral materials (brochures, inserts, and advertising copy) for upscale travel and lifestyle companies. Her work was published in a diverse range of media including Diablo Magazine, Town & Country, Southern Living, San Francisco and The Wine Enthusiast; her main areas of specialty being lifestyle, culture, health & fitness. In addition, Ann Claire served as Associate Editor at allpets.com, ranked #1 in pet-related content and community by Gomez Advisors. Her work as a journalist won a variety of awards, including from DWAA and TWAA.

In 2001 Ann Claire began her career in Public Relations, working as a junior

Account Executive at Los Angeles based Wilkinson/House/Much, representing lifestyle and celebrity clients, including Jane Fonda. She also worked as a junior account manager with Deborah Rosen PR, working with clients such as the NYSE and Universal, and then accepted a senior level position with Ilene Proctor & Associates, securing key media placements for authors such as Greg Palast and writer Arianna Huffington. She developed and implemented PR campaigns for her clients, developing key relationships with top print and electronic media worldwide, and placed feature articles on clients in outlets as diverse as Spa Magazine, Let’s Live, Body & Soul, Chatelaine, to Fashion Wire Daily, Fitness, Shape, Delicious Living, UK Vogue, House Beautiful, Elle, Hello!, Variety, The Los Angeles Times, The Houston Chronicle, and Businesswire. 


In addition, Ann Claire significantly contributed to client branding, creating winning press releases and writing and editing client web content. In addition, she developed lifelong relationships with corporate sponsors for product promotions and planned and executed red-carpet corporate/media-related events.

In 2004, she accepted a position as Account Executive at PRed Communications, an international PR agency dedicated to serving clients in the fields of beauty, travel, accessories, non-profits and the arts. There she further developed and built relationships with key journalists and editors. Ann Claire has promoted several major nonprofits and arts clients including Family Service Agency of San Francisco, the largest non-secular non-profit in San Francisco, managing the organization’s flagship Gala, chaired by Hillary Clinton, resulting in the most successful fundraiser in the organization’s 109-year history. Throughout her career, she has cultivated ongoing relationships with major international corporate sponsors and donors such as Tiffany, Jil Sander, OneHope Wine, Frye Boots, Urban Decay and American Airlines.

Meanwhile alongside her career as a writer and public relations specialist, she began to develop her passion for music by writing and playing with country/roots artists and members of Jackson Browne’s band. In 2006 this led to a starring role in the acclaimed television series, Love Is In The Heir, on the E! Network,The program was sold and viewed in 52 markets worldwide, netting Viacom $65M.

Today, Ann Claire runs her own boutique Content, Branding, PR and Marketing agency, Ann Claire Media, LLC, serving a wide variety of clients, and is the Southeast delegate for national Giant Schnauzer Rescue. She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and is an active volunteer in a PR consultant capacity for many Nashville non-profits.
